Transvaginal Pelvic Mesh
Mass Tort Litigation Attorneys
Over the last 13 years, women who were diagnosed with either pelvic organ prolapse (POP) or stress urinary incontinence ( SUI) received mesh implants which were surgically implanted. On many occasions, women implanted with these devices suffered serious injuries, including chronic pain, infections, organ damage and scarring, further incontinence and difficulty having sexual relations. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), serious risks are associated with transvaginal surgical mesh, and other options may be less risky. The reports of serious complications to the FDA continue to increase.
Currently, there are a number of lawsuits filed against the various manufacturers of these mesh products. Some of the mesh manufactures are Bard, American Medical Systems, Boston Scientific, Ethicon/ J&J, and Coloplast. These mesh products are alleged to be defective in their design. In addition, it is alleged that the manufacturers failed to warn users of the potentially serious complications associated with their use, as well as the need for often complicated surgery to remedy damage from the mesh products.
If you have suffered physical or emotional injury after receiving a transvaginal mesh implant, you may be entitled to recover damages for yourself and your spouse.
Our experienced mesh lawyers will provide a free consultation and record review to see what your next steps should be. There will be no fees unless we recover on your behalf.
