Tatiana G. Avakian
Associate Attorney
Tatiana G. Avakian first developed her passion for protecting employees’ rights during law school, where she worked in the Workers’ Rights Advocacy Group of the Neighborhood Legal Services, a non-profit organization catered to providing legal services to low-income individuals and families in Los Angeles. There, Ms. Avakian focused on preparing wage calculations for litigants.
Since then, Ms. Avakian continued to expand her knowledge and expertise of employment law. Ms. Avakian participated in Loyola Law School’s Employment Rights Clinic, where she investigated retaliation cases filed with the Labor Commissioner’s office. During law school, Ms. Avakian also interned at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, evaluating discrimination and harassment complaints.
Before joining Marlin & Saltzman, Ms. Avakian worked at a plaintiff-side employment law firm where she gained valuable litigation experience in discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases, as well as wage and hour class actions, and helped to obtain outstanding results on behalf of her clients. At Marlin & Saltzman, Ms. Avakian continues to expand her practice full-time in wage and hour class actions.
