WalMart – $60 million trial verdict on behalf of 839 truck drivers who were entitled to back pay for pre- and post-trip inspections, layovers and California-required rest breaks.
Allstate Insurance – $120 million recovered on behalf of claims adjusters who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
Bank of America- $73 million recovered on behalf nationwide class of hourly bank employees for off-the-clock work, overtime and breaks.
Bristol West Insurance Company – $18 million recovered on behalf of claims adjusters who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
Mass Torts Clients- $25 Million recovered on behalf of clients with Mass Tort Injuries.
Cisco Systems, Inc.– $6.7 million for wage and hour violations.
CNA Insurance Company- $33 million recovered on behalf of claims adjusters who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
Country Villa Class Action- $7.5 million recovered on behalf of nurses (LVNs and CNAs) who work or worked in defendants’ assisted living facilities throughout the State of California, this certified class action resulted in a $7.5 million settlement.
Countrywide Home Loans- $15 million recovered on behalf of loan originators who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
H&R Block- $35 million for seasonal tax preparers.
Ikea Class Action- $5.5 million on behalf of non-exempt (hourly) Coworkers (excluding Team Leaders and Managers). The case sought recovery for unpaid time worked (e.g., as a result of rounding of time entries by the automated time keeping system used by Ikea), failure to pay reporting time wages, and related Labor Code violations.
Jenny Craig, Inc.- $40 million for failure to disclose the fact that a huge number of its participants ultimately gained back any weight they may have lost
Kaiser Foundation Hospitals– $3.7 million recovered on behalf of computer operators who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
Lowes– $29.5 million for forcing employees to work off the clock
State Farm Insurance Company– $135 million recovered on behalf of claims adjusters who were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay.
Wal-Mart– $86 million class action settlement based on Wal-Mart’s failure to pay all earned vacation pay at the time of termination, plus statutory penalties.
